Meet Ron

 Educator, Consultant, Trainer, Motivational, Speaker

As the director of the Danvers High School Band for 33 years, Ron transformed the band program from a small community group of thirty students into a large nationally recognized organization with over 150 members performing for a presidential inauguration, The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade in 2001, 2006, and 2010, the 70th and 75th anniversaries commemorating the attacks on Pearl Harbor, and other prestigious events across the United States.  Ron earned his Master of Education degree Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and holds two professional teaching licenses, one in Music and another as Supervisor/Director.  He is a member of Pi Lambda Theta (International Honor and Professional Association in Education), and an advisor in the TRI-M National Music Honor Society.  Ron is an accomplished educator and a proven leader with a contagious enthusiasm, a passion for driving growth, and a strong commitment to developing dynamic service-based student leaders. He has dedicated his time to mentoring senior students to become trainers for underclassmen, preparing the next generation for leadership roles.

His leadership and mentorship program has served as a model to other professional groups and organizations. Ron is recognized by School Band and Orchestra “SBO” magazine as one of “The Top 50 Directors in the U.S.A”, and by The Salem News as one of “The Top 100 Leaders Who Make a Difference in Essex County.”

Partnering with Southwestern Consulting's Leadership Institute, Ron’s high-energy and interactive style engages audiences through challenging, interactive, effective workshops and keynote presentations.  With humor, storytelling and hands-on activities using a variety of props, he facilitates learning by driving home principles and ideas that will transform how individuals approach and interact with one another. Ron motivates and inspires people to challenge assumptions and attitudes about leadership, teamwork, communication and organizational structures. He works to identify and break preconceived notions, and helps students realize their potential, equipping them to develop the skills and attitudes needed to excel in today’s dynamic world as influential leaders.

You don't have to be the best.  You just need to be your best.
